Default Southwest Booking Date Announced

On March 12, 2020 we will open our schedule for sale through October 31, 2020.

And I just checked flights for my March trip and the price went down again since last week. Another 3072 points back!!!

It can change at the last minute so keep following it just in case.

They pushed it back. It was supposed to be in February. I've got flights to look for in August for Seattle. Oh well.

Thanks for confirming that I wasn't crazy when I thought that also. I was so excited that for once I'd be able to reserve my flight before the 7 month window, instead of having to book the hotel for extra days "just in case" air fares are drastically different on different days (as often happens). Now, Boooo!

I think it was pushed back last week when I looked. About the same time as they have been canceling flights due to MAX8 issues. Hope this means going forward they won't book with those only to cancel later.

Yes, I asked while on the phone this weekend with Southwest - there has been trouble booking companion passes on line - had to call. Apparently there was an issue where all the companion's information was not transferring over.
