Default Car rental companies that let you pick your car

Which car rental companies let you pick your car from the aisle you have paid for? Are there any others besides National and Alamo? I don't like being assigned a car and like to anticipate what I might luck into on the lot.

Hertz Ultimate. It won't be coming to Orlando until July-Sept though.

Interested in the answers. Although, we keep finding budget is beating everyone else by about $100 for our length of use. Curious what others are doing.

Does anyone miss Priceline's Name your own price for cars? You just can't get deals like that any more.

Who do you all use for car rentals at MCO?

I just use Alamo.
Good selection, and the one time I needed help they were very helpful.

I think dollar at the Tampa airport let us. The guy walked my husband to the row of cars and Iím pretty sure thatís when my husband talked the guy into a free upgrade. However we have not had the opportunity to choose our own car at MCO.

In terms of price
I stalk Travelocity for their rental cars

We usually end up with dollar or budget for a standard SUV. I also find prices to be reasonable way far in advance then creep up high and then go down as it gets closer. Because no cancellation fee I book and cancel frequently.
I find Travelocity to have cheaper prices than the car rental website itself.

However Iím intrigued to follow along this thread if others have a better system for cheap car rates!

Yeah I miss that. I was going to use it I think last year or so and sad it was gone. Would love it for WDW in May/June. Holy crap it's too expensive.

I use Costco and double check with Autoslash. Once in a blue moon they are lower than I get via Costco, but not often.

I havenít rented from MCO in several years, but my go to is Hertz rented through AAA. Most of the time I can get pretty good rates when I book through AAA and they allow adding other AAA members as authorized drivers for no extra charge so it works well for us.
