We did have a good time there!

We thought this weekend was going to be another Leelanau weekend for us too. But plans changed and we ended up heading to St. Ignace and the Mackinaw Bridge. My SIL had never seen the bridge and wanted to before heading back to San Francisco on Tuesday. So we hopped in the new RV and headed off for the day. I wondered why see the Mackinaw Bridge when you’ve got the Golden Gate Bridge in your backyard? Well, it turns out that Mackinaw is a much longer bridge. Who knew?!

We had some fantastic fresh pasties, walked the beach and watched the sunset over Lake Michigan and then we all had our first burger at the famous Clyde’s drive-in before heading home. It was a good day!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Sounds nice! Did you stay overnight in the RV or was that a day trip?

Today is my husband’s birthday. I took him to the coast so we could watch the wrath of Teddy. We don’t get many hurricanes here so it was exciting to watch the surfers ride the waves. Tonight I made a huge feast but I did need him to run the grill. ( not my thing! ). Dinner was so good! Teddy only brought big waves. We could use some rain. We haven’t had rain in so long. Phil spent a lot of time, effort and money to reseed his lawn. Rain would be nice.
