IIRC, they used to do OBC credit when you purchased while on a cruise. The OBC was based on how many points you were purchasing, but from what I can tell, they are not longer doing that. I haven't seen any DCL specific incentives in a while.

I found this on DVCNews.com ... it's from 2014, but I can't imagine that it's much different now.

Small steps to just get a feel for a cruise and if we like it. So excited!

And of course back ending it with a stay at AK.
The fun just keeps coming!
Oh, I hope you have a wonderful time!
DH and I have been on 3 DCL cruises, the first one being our honeymoon 3.5 years ago. We've been on the Wonder twice (Bahamas and Alaska) and the Magic once (Bahamas). Looking forward to cruises #4 and 5 in the upcoming year!

As DVC owners (we bought direct between the 1st and 2nd cruise), we have received door magnets on the last 2 cruises, DVC lanyards, ballcaps. We went to the DVC reception (usually on first or 2nd day ) and hoped to win the $200 OBC, but did not. Had a free drink, though, and a character meet, so it was fun.

We did not look too much into buying points on the cruise-- there are incentives, which I imagine vary from year to year-- just have to do your Disney math to see if it works for you!

Yes! I actually won a gift at one of the DVC presentations I attended on one of the Disney cruises. I was pretty happy I attended!

During my cruise in November 2017 on the Magic, they offered a $500 OBC for adding on. Didnt seem like it was tiered from what I remember.

Just got off of the phone with our travel agent, Linda. Very first cruise ever booked for Nov 2019! I canít wait! Just a 3 night cruise this time to make sure that DH can stand it. Once he agrees that it was a terrific experience, Iíll book something longer! Iíll be paying much closer attention to all of the cruise threads and trip reports in the future.
