Default Question about # of guests when renting

We are looking at renting points to get into BWV in January. My question is does it change the price whether or not there are 3 or 4 guests in the room?

For sure it will be my wife, youngest son, and myself. Possibility of my oldest son (19). He will be in college and being an athlete the school's calendar doesn't necessarily apply to his schedule. He said he would like to go but I have a feeling that after a few months in college he is not gonna want to go on vacation with his mom and dad anymore. haha.

Can we add/delete his name from the guest list when we check in or does this all have to be set in stone when we rent the points? What if he didn't stay the whole time or arrive at a different time that we did?

Hope that makes sense.

It shouldnt change the price as the room size doesnt change.

The price is for the room, not per person. The only thing you have to watch the number of people on your room for are the dining plan and magical express. If you choose to use these two things you will want to make sure you have the correct number of people on your reservation before you go, but they don't have to be added at the time of booking.

If you want to use the dining plan, or magic express, you need to have a firm list of guests at least a few days ahead of time.

The person you rent points from has to make any changes, so there's a chance they will want to charge you a few bucks more for the hassle of changes... but that's pretty unlikely. Should be the same price. No problems as long as you stay under the room occupancy limits.

PS - Where's the scenario where you need 5 spots, one for the girlfriend

It doesn't have to be set in stone, but we rented for next year's trip and our renter suggested we have it ironed out with her at least a month ahead. This could just be her personal preference though.

haha. That will probably be the MAIN reason he wouldn't want to go. Stay home with his pookie.

The meal plan is the only problem you will have if he decides to come for a few of the days. We had someone come for part of our trip and they made us put the person on for the whole length of the trip. There was no "splitting" up the meal plan. If you are not doing the meal plan it will not be a big deal, just make sure a few weeks ahead of time you set him up for the magical express.

Disney charges the same for DVC reservations no matter how many people (to the room max) are there.
