I don't see a 2018 stupid question thread so here we go.

When my annual pass says it expires on such and such a day, does that mean that is the last day I can use it or that is the first day it is expired and no longer useable? This may affect my trip planning for August since we might go to DL late in the year and hold off on renewing AP until the next trip

The date listed is the last day you can use it for entry.

Last date is your last access option;
keep in mind that there is a renewal option (2 months prior and one month post annual pass date with the renewal date to continue the day after expiration for the next 365 day window).The renewal is usually at a discount from an annual pass
An annual pass is purchased as a new pass which initiates park access on the first date of use.

Question DVC Trip insurance for Canadians

When I called Travelex recently, I was informed that coverage was only for US Citizens. Being Canadian, I don't know where to turn. The insurance agencies I have contacted won't cover my hotel stay because it does not have a specified dollar value. Does anyone here have any ideas?

Default Points rebalancing for times of the year

With December looking like a popular time at least for this year, anyone know how often DVC will rebalance the points (not within resort like SSR standard and preferred), but make say the first 2 weeks of December more points, and some other time less points?

I think I've read that they have done this in the past.

At this point I doubt that anyone knows if they will do it. There is speculation based on difficulties some have had booking that time of year, and AFAIK that's all.

I for one think they should (even though we go then and I do like the lower points). But will they ever be willing to take that one? I'd be surprised.
