Can they actually transfer in points into this UY and transfer out points from next UY in one calendar year?

They are PVB owners, so they're good points.

Dirk
Might as well mention the amount of transfer points that they would need.

Yes, they can do it. Each transfer would count as the one and only transferred allowed for each UY.

They might be able to find someone with 2019 points to transfer. A lot of people got burned when this shutdown left them with points they couldnít bank.

Yes, you're allowed one transfer, in or out, per UY however you have access to the current UY and the following UY to do transfers so you can actually do transfers from 2 UY's all at the same time.

Well, after talking with them this AM they’re basically soured on Disney right now. It was going to be a resort-only stay with dining because their APs have expired and one has COPD. That’s why the 1 BR at AKV was so important to them.

We’ll either all go to Savannah together, or if we go to Disney, they’ll pop up for a couple fo days, stay offsite, and then go to Savannah (they have family there).

It’s important to us to do Disney if it’s doable, so I’m not ready to cut it loose.

They understand the need for the policy. They literally did not know of it when they booked because it all happened so fast, and wish they had at least been notified when the cancellation occurred or that Disney could have blocked the ability to borrow more than 50% of their points. But Disney IT can’t alter the website, and Disney customer service doesn’t extend to actual communication when there’s a problem in the middle of a pandemic.

So, they’ll have tons of points for next year (December UY). By then, they’ll be over the Disney funk and there could be a vaccine and everybody will be smiling and happy. Fantasyland is powerful!
