Default What do you miss??

There have been a lot of changes at Walt Disney World in the past few years. Most of them are good, but also there are some things I really miss when we go there. Some of the items I miss are: Cinnamon Rolls at the Main Street Bakery, Toon Town (especially Mickey and Minnie's houses), The Great Movie Ride, The Backlot Tour, Woody's Roundup in Frontier Land, The Spectro Magic and The Main Street Electrical Parades, The Sorcerer's Hat at Hollywood Studios, Low crowds in November, early December, and January, the Original Fast Pass System.

What do you miss??

Osborne Spectacle of Lights and the MK version of Snow White (it was better than DL's)...
I never bother to enter the Circus that replaced Mickeys ToonTown so I guess I miss ToonTown especially at Halloween and I loved to watch the thunderstorms under Minnies front porch. It was a popular shelter from the rain!

So many of these things made me feel nostalgic. And I agree with many of them.

The thing I really miss the most is when going to WDW during "slower" times of the year you really could count on low wait times for attractions. With the seasonal layoffs and reduction of ride throughput (eg less coasters running on the roller coasters) to reduce wear on the equipment it really does feel like WDW is always packed.

When is slow?

Not this weekend......I tried booking DVC and cash room for tomorrow thru Sunday night.

The result......zero DVC in a studio or 1-bedroom. Only 4 Deluxe resorts have cash rates available starting at $500 (ish) per night.

So i hope there are not too many seasonal layoffs/closures right now.

I miss the paper fast passes in the parks. Hate preplanning what parks and what rides and what times we will be doing things...two months before trip.

Also miss slow time. There never seems to be slow time anymore. I remember one January trip (2007) where the parks were practically empty.

As for rides and such...miss Maelstrom, Great Movie Ride (miss the big hat at HS), Osbourne Spectacle of Lights. Miss Spoodles though Trattoria al Forno is really good too.
