Default That blinking red light

Overall Iím having a wonderful stay at Old Key Westóitís really my favorite resort and I love the renovated villas. However, thereís this teensy thing that annoys me every time I come here and that is the daily blinking red light on the phone announcing a cheerful voicemail message about a fun run, tree viewing, or whatever. The only way to get rid of the blinking red light at your bedside as youíre trying to sleep is to either pick up the message or put something over the phone. I put something over the phone.

Could you unplug the phone?

When we were there a couple of weeks ago we just ignored it. DH tried to listen to the message a couple of times and it wouldnít play so he just let it be for the whole 7 nights. I think he put something on the one in the bedroom. Not on my side of the bed so it didnít bother me at all.

Blinking lights and/or small lights in general that glow at night are big pet peeve of mine in general. If you're inclined you can call and ask that messages not be sent to your phone -- not a guarantee that they still won't be sent, but worth a try.

I use a sleep mask now when I travel. For me, they really do help me to rest better, and little lights don't bother me anymore. I had no idea how much a sleep mask would improve my rest when I traveled. Wish I had bought one years ago!

I often move the phone off the nightstand (as I prefer the space for my own electronics) to the floor or lower shelf of the nightstand.

I carry black electrical tape with me when I travel. Covers up any lights, is easily removed without residue!

I have thought of that too, just never remember. That's what I do at home with the stupid lights on the devices located in my bedroom. Those dumb lights make me cray-cray!
