Default Vero Beach for 1 night - Questions

I now live in Orlando, so we have more points available because we can drive to WDW anytime we want now. I decided to do a last minute trip to Vero Beach. I got a Saturday night in August in an Ocean View room. My kids have been bugging me to go to the beach so I decided we'd at least try Vero. (I want to try some Hilton destinations on both coasts too).

Can we get to the resort early on Saturday and enjoy all the amenities and stay late on Sunday as well?

Are there changing rooms that are easy enough to use before/after we arrive?

Is there anything specific we should do for a 1 day visit?

Are there changing rooms that are easy enough to use before/after we arrive? I know there are bathrooms in the lobby. I am almost certain there are bathrooms / changing rooms near the pool

Is there anything specific we should do for a 1 day visit? the quick service window at the pool used to have dole whips....hopefully they still do

There are changing rooms, with showers in the pool area.

If you are only there for one night, and you have good weather to take advantage of, what I would not do is lose beach time by driving into Vero Beach town.

Depending on the age of your kids, Disney has a nature walk around a large pond on the other side of the highway that is interesting. Pedestrian/biking tunnel provides access.

Bike rentals are also good because you can take them off-site.

Miniature golf course on site.

Check to see if they have any turtle related things while you are there. We did an early morning "turtle class" one morning...simply but fun

9 hole miniature golf is a must do.
Shuffle board and croquet is fun. There is a corn hole set up. Evening campfire most nights.
BRING BUG REPELLANT no-see-ums are year round.

The smores/campfire thing is great for kids. I don't know which nights they do it.

Definitely grab the activities sheet when you check in. I wish they made it available online.
