I don't wear a watch, so this wouldn't happen, although I can understand the reflex.

I use my phone as my watch and some hotels allow to use the phone to open the door, though

Cheers.

It appears that they want you to use your phone to open the doors these days. . Every time I try to unlock the door it goes thru 2 series of blinking before it lets the band work. Why would I want to dig out my phone to unlock the door when I already have the band on my wrist? Oh yeah, 90% of people walk around with their phone in their hand every waking minute.

I wasn't referring to Disney (does the phone even work there?) but to other hotel chains (Hyatt, Hilton). At Disney we use MB and have not had a problem in several years.

For phone-based hotels it's easy for me as I keep the phone on a belt holster (but not in hand, generally).

Cheers.

Yes, phones will work to open the doors at Disney. They introduced that function last year? Longer? I canít remember. I donít wear my phone and Iíd rather not have it in my hands any more than necessary while Iím on vacation. So Iíve never tried it. My magic band works just fine as my door key.
