I think that rental prices have already gone up. I would typically have seen $17 a point as top dollar BEFORE the price increase from DVC for OTUP. As some have already said, that is now more of the base price, with room to charge more per point for premium resorts, booking times, or 11-month reservations. IMO I think we're already there in the $18-$19 per point range.

You will begin to "enjoy" charging a higher price when owners stop undervaluing their points. IMO brokers in some way artificially set a ceiling (but other factors play in to the value as well - season, location (SSR will rent for less than VGF on NYE), Disney cash prices, Disney discounts on rooms, etc.) I don't rent any of my points for under $17pp and often I charge $18pp.

$18-20 for me in the last year. will try to average out at $19 with my 2018 points. you don't get it if you don't ask for it.

I rented out a small amount of my VGF points for $15pp in one day. I almost felt guilty because I know that may affect what people think is fair, but the difference between $15pp and $17pp for about 30 points wasn't worth the hassle for me. It was only $60 less for such a small amount, but it saved me days of answering whether or not I would "make a deal" and waiting on someone to rent them when we had a lot going on in our lives. Also, 10 of the 30 points were "bonus banked points" that I received when I bought the contract because the seller forgot about them.

Normally, when renting a points (definitely if transferring any amount), I have rented for more $$$. Normally, I will not rent/transfer my VGF points for less than $17 either, but this person got a deal because I was busy...
Sorry to the other owners.

Everyone has to do what they think is right for them. If you want a higher price you have to ask for more is all I was saying

Oh it wasn’t a swipe at you or anyone else. I was just saying I caved to personal life pressures at the time. I wish renters would just agree to $17pp all the time without all the negotiating/haggling. They’re worth it at certain resorts! Shoot, maybe I should pay someone a negotiating fee of $1pp and take home $16pp. When I rent out 200+ points, that’s easy money for someone who likes doing it!

I just wanted to add that owners like you help the rest of us. Your prices aren’t unreasonable, and you stick to your guns. It really helps pull the market up which is great for all owners. Honestly, they’re sill getting a good deal at $17pp compared to Disney cash prices.

Some "broker" already charge up to $19/pp
Some owners do not even know what the current prices are and offer their points for less then what brokers are going to pay them.
