I sailed a partial transit of the Panama Canal on the Pearl in April 2017, just after her dry dock. I enjoyed the ship and found the crew to wonderful. Especially loved O’Sheahans 24 hour pub style complimentary restaurant. Looking forward to Alaska 2019 on her!

Are you doing a cruise only? What port are you departing from? I would love to hear more about the Pearl.

We went a few years back (2011) and had a trip of a lifetime.

Life is short.....Do it. Don't ever look back and wish that you didn't do it.

Tom, is your wife still a travel agent? If so I would love for her to book our cruise. I know she’s had health issues so thought I would ask.
Yes, she still owns a travel agency. She has had a long three years of recovery from her accident and two surgeries to fix and stablize her pelvis.

Any travel agent recommendations? This is probably a trip I would need an experienced agent to work with.
Either Robin or Linda (also a MO member)

Husband wants to spend a couple of days on land. So not sure if we should do land first then cruise?
You might want to look at Princess with their land sea packages to Denali National Park.

Definitely want a balcony. Since I don’t know these other ships I definitely will need advice!
Balcony for sure. Its the only way I would even consider Alaska.....too much eye candy.

Wink Seattle is awesome

We did 4 days in seattle before cruise and really enjoyed it.

There is sci fi museum, glass museum, the needle, restaurants.

Lots of fun stuff to do

All of them offer deals like that, except Disney.

This time of year, there are a lot of cruise sales released. If you have a cabin booked, and a new sale is released, you can call an d have the new sale added to your cabin.

Check out Clipper Vacations @ https://www.clippervacations.com
They put together a very nice package for us, including their ferry from Seattle to Victoria, Butchart Gardens in Victoria*, one night at the Empress hotel, and a bus to Vancouver the next day.

We then spent two nights in Vancouver before our DCL cruise.

* mentioned in the Canada movie in Epcot, and absolutely beautiful. More flowers than you have seen in your entire life...
