Thx for heads up, just checked mine for next week flights from ISP, both are 737-700 and 737-800 so hopefully no cancellation.

So sorry to hear of how they're treating you. It's extra frustrating when it impacts your vacations.

This is tough because at the same time they are suing the mechanics union they have lost another 34 planes and countless others on order. I get that there are two ways to look at the contract impasse, but IMO the fact that they don't seem to be trying to rework their 737 max orders to different planes given the flawed design process is an issue. I'm pretty deep into my first year on the SW card and just a Riviera contract away from a companion pass, but I'll abandon this whole experiment and go back to the Amex if Southwest doesn't handle their customers needs appropriately. I don't blame them for the failure of Boeing and the FAA for the rushed and incomplete certification, but if I wanted to get jerked around a la Spirit Airlines I could do that 20 minutes from home rather than heading off to PHL or BWI.

You can get on your reservation. The plane you are looking for is 737-Max.

I was able to check the aircraft type, but only by pretending I wanted to change the flight. That makes me a little nervous. Is there a simpler way to do it?

Every airline will get you sometime if you fly them all and fly enough.

Super shady sounds as if ther planned this all which they did not. I'd hope that Boeing is being a little more forthcoming with their customers than they have with their public information but they and the FAA have gotten into some deep shit with this plane's certification. If Boeing isn't then Southwest probably expected this so called software patch to be done long before this and are in a day to day scramble.

My DH had a trip cancelled 3 days before the flight. Took a few hours to reschedule. Then got notice that was cancelled too and they were routing him all over the country. They got him home from the trip ok though.

Consider contacting Southwest via Twitter. I think they are slightly more responsive on that platform to avoid the “public shaming.”

I have got a flight in 3 days! I checked online and so far there is no cancellation. How would I know? I'm planning on calling SW tomorrow just to hear it's still scheduled.

I also am a member of the Southwest club, with a ton of skymiles points. But I haven't flown on them for over a year. Glad I'm not using them right now.

I have flights scheduled this year to Disneyland (twice) and Disney World (once, so far). Luckily, I am flying on JetBlue, United and Alaska Airlines. I love JetBlue to Orlando because it is one of their hubs. They also are cheap to Los Angeles (Long Beach Airport), from my house.

How is Southwest doing financially? Is this a sign that they are bleeding money and perhaps 'sinking?' Do they really need the money that bad, that they must be so duplicitous?
