Just wanted to report how easy it was to upgrade my passes on my recent trip. We had regular Gold passes and wanted to upgrade for free with the new deal. I had planned to go to the entrance at DHS when I was there. Instead, while waiting for my daughter and husband I saw the annual pass ticket kiosk outside of Beverly Sunset (next to the popcorn stand). I walked up and asked if I could upgrade. He took all of my families passes clicked a computer screen and Voila, we had premium plus passes. It took 2 minutes, tops!

  • Epcot after 4
  • Water Parks after 2

FL Residents also can take advantage of the (interest free) monthly payment plan for annual passes.

NOTE: The current promo for the Platinum Plus Pass for the price of the Gold Pass is a DVC only promotion and not eligible for the monthly payment plan.

Disney also typically offers special 3 & 4 day tickets for FL Residents. These special tickets are usually valid for 6 months from first use.
Thank you! The only way we will change anything, I think, is if we are willing to give up park access certain for certain dates. We love December, though, so I doubt it....

Just called. Renewed and got the PAP+ at the $505 renewal price. SWEET

Excellent. Enjoy!

Can I take my spouse's driver's license to pick up the platinum pass? I think I can take my kids state ID's but not sure about my spouse.

Don't they need your fingerprints to activate?

Official policy is that everyone regardless of age is supposed to be present at the time of activation.

Biometrics are only used when entering a park.

Not going into the park if that matters. I would pick them up at Disney Springs.

Ok gotcha. I remembered them needing ID for the adults present but I thought it was to match the hand to the face.

I would guess the usual discounts on the passes - PAP+ deal likely will be gone.
