No running - No worry someone is going to get separated, no waiting from people to get off a ride, miss some wanted attraction/event, not have enough water to drink, why we have to stand in one more line, will we have time to do this or that - no worries. Just enjoyment.

I am looking forward to enjoying what you talked about.

We do WDW as a couple 3 times a year. Sometimes another couple joins us for extra company. It seems when we vacay with the grands we are displaced and over ruled by the helicopter parents in tow so it sours me on the family trip experience (I ask permission to buy candy for the kids - as forbidden fruit- parents agree to my request only to be told by the kids that the parents throw it away when I am out of sight ).
We so enjoy the couple pace as well. More vacation, less park commando.

DH and I are full into this now. Our youngest was off to college this past September. We did take 2 trips without kids prior to this transition and it's exactly what everyone else explains: more leisurely. Love it. We go once per year with just us, then once per year with the kids and usually some friends in tow. The friends in tow actually helps to keep the trip 'lighter', if that makes sense....I guess I don't feel the need to make sure they are always entertained that way.
