OK, I went back and looked at the stats. That particular was indeed most users, i.e., people who logged in. So, something attracted the attention of a lot of MOs. I believe PVB was already opened at that point, so I have no clue what could have caused all that excitement.

If the Site Forum/News board still has it, maybe do a search on a Buzz from around that time. If we sent one out that had a juicy story, that would have done it. It would have been a Monday send, though.

I believe the next summer, 2016, we had most visitors (guests - folks not logged in) ever on some August date. That most likely was webbots.

There's was our last Buzz before "most online ever," http://www.mouseowners.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=107500

So, nothing of note there. Not sure what happened.

Was that the year you could get a Platinum AP for the price of a Gold AP?
Or maybe the year you could get 13 months out of an AP while paying the usual 12-month price?

Seems like one or both of those had a December launch date.
And buying when it went online at 12am might have gotten a bunch of people online.

Curiouser and curiouser....

I have a vague memory of that event, but don't remember anything specific going on. Which of course proves nothing.

Most of those are attractions related. We generally don't get much increase in traffic for that sort of thing since we don't break park news. I also doubt it was Polynesian related since it opened eight months earlier.

It was a Tuesday. Maybe everybody had a snow day or got bored at work at the same time.

I think we still had the politics and religion thread back then. Maybe something over there was causing extra foot traffic? I dunno.
