I'd pay extra to go to the side room that costs a bit less!

Unless there's a place or time I really want, I'm generally OK with playing dining roulette. We tend to do that anyway as half our ADRs get canceled by the time we get there and see what we're up to.

I've canceled Art Smith five times, and I really want to eat there. Never been!

I'm not willing to play "attraction roulette," though. The FP tiers, however, have moved me back to rope dropping as our primary strategy - dramatically eases the stress of FP planning.

That's actually interesting and a nice idea. I'd dine at at Akershus if I didn't have to deal with princesses. Still kicking myself we never went there before the conversion. I'm part Norwegian. I should be there! But I want a quality experience.

Yeah, we've really enjoyed dining with him on the Magic.

Actually, they are the two face characters we enjoy dining with. The rest, meh.

I'd love it if this was an option at more places. But of course they can't make money that way.

We usually turn on wife's iPad in the morning and say, "Let's see if we can get into such-and-such tonight" and often it works out. Now, it is only two of us, and we usually want to eat the instant they open (i.e. 4:30) so usually not an issue. Of course if we want BOG lunch or something we have to do that ahead of time. We kinda like Cape May and often we have to look through a few days or something for that one. I don't really like picking ahead of time, though...I might not be interested come that day! God the first year her and I went, we were on cash and "free dining" and after about four days I vowed I was never going to eat again, so much food! So we cancelled a bunch of places.

Well, if Great Movie Ride was still open, you maybe could have cut a deal with the gangster guy when he hijacked your car...
