Except that if you click before that you could get lucky and be in the first couple of hundred, and therefore off the phone early.

Of course if everyone realises this, then there’ll be so many already in line by 9am ET, that no one clicking after that will get a look in.

This is correct. We had a reservation for two people two different times last year but we booked four tickets as we have friends in the area. One time our friends cancelled on us so we found two random people in the park who sounded interested in staying for the party, I felt better spreading the magic than wasting the two tickets.

So I would think of you had booked for more than 4, and then reduced the number on the reservation to less than 4, they would cancel the extra tickets over 4.

But they should let you keep 4 tickets even if you end up with less than that on the reservation.
I can confirm this. My ressie only had two people on it, but I was able to get four tickets for the AK MM. We usually invite a couple to join us, but they don't stay in our room.

Ah, well. In that case, nothing has changed. That's how I understood it in the past. I thought Nicky was warning us that the policy now was specifically the # on the reservation, not a base of 4. Phew!

Indeed. I clicked in around 8:45 both times last year I tried to booked. First time I was 2,000+ something. Second time was 29. Holy Whiplash! No need to check in at 3 am or whenever people were trying to do so.

My original warning was about the 48 hour rule.

If you had 4 on your reservation and then modified that to 5 a day before registration, you could only book for 4.

Default what info to have ready at registration?

I will be attempting to register for the MK event Wednesday morning 1/8. Should I be logged in to the DVC member page, and navigate to event registration from there? Will I need to have my resort confirmation number &/or member number handy when registering, or will that all be auto-filled if I'm already logged in?
thanks!

I have the same questions! I have never tried to book moonlight magic before. I am also curious on past timing of emails regarding registration? I am wondering if that makes it easier (assuming that means the system recognizes you have a reservation)? Of course I could be completely wrong about that?

DH and I were just talking today about trying to plan a trip around the beginning of May, and I noticed there's a moonlight magic event on April 28. Even if I'm able to make a resort reservation tomorrow, am I really too late to try to book the moonlight magic when the booking window opens on 1/8, since I won't have had a resort reservation for 48 hours?

Make it tonight, even if you have to do a cash reservation for the night of the event.
