Down the gondolas! (Literally). Back to the buses!

I would choose Skyliner over bus any day as gondolas falling into the water is unlikely but I do hope they have appropriate contingency plans. It would be nightmarish to survive a crash only to helplessly watch yourself drown because youíre locked inside a leaky box. Iím sure these crazy thoughts will be alleviated once it opens.

Considering all the opportunities for sabotage targets at WDW I am sure this has been adequately covered by Disney.

The gondolas rarely fall on their own . But the thought of sabotage is scary .

but I am not really that worried at Disney. I feel confident that they will have a top notch security system in place. The only thing that I do not like about the gondolas is the look of them. I think they will be safe. I will ride in it, as will my DH and DS (17). My son (19) and mother will not.

I wish they had expanded the waterway instead of the gondolas or expanded the monorail system - only because of the look of the gondolas - it reminds me of a sky resort. After seeing them completing test runs this summer while we were there, I think it cheapens the appearance of the boardwalk area. I think they will be safe. This is just my opinion.

So, are you saying you will be doing things to the gondola station at the IG?
