If the Electric Water Parade has to go away for this, Iím for it! Sorry. I care way more about being able to walk from VGF to MK than the parade.

If they remove the canal, they would no longer be able to get the Riverboat out of the MK if necessary.

Oh I hope so! It would be a nice way for them to reduce monorail usage too.

It's a strange Permit app title though if that were the only reason for it. No reason to title it as anything GF to MK walkway since there isn't one. GF/MK canal dewatering perhaps.

Until an actual construction permit is posted and found, what they are doing is pure speculation.

Shut your mouth!!!!!!

No more removing of classics gosh darn it!!!!!!!!!

I'm dead serious too.

As for the rumor, I'll believe it when I see it. It has to be a bridge because they use that to get things back and forth via water, but that shouldn't be that big of a deal (Epcot has this for Illuminations).

Does the EWP have to be stored in the canal? Can't there be somewhere else in the Lagoon or Bay Lake to store it?

I love the EWP- wouldn't be the same without it

IMO the only way this isn't for a bridge is if they plan to sink the Riverboat and turn it into a Pirate ship. It kind of adds capacity to the monorail by encouraging people not to ride it

The Electric Water Parade would remain. The bridge over the canal has to be a drawbridge so that the Riverboat can be removed from Magic Kingdom. The EWP boats are small compared to the river boat.

Well geez the internet's just bursting with Disney news isn't it...
Like others mentioned, this is great. Requested by fans for years.
(As long as there's a solution to store the water pageant floats.)
