![]() Has anybody used RCI for travel in Europe, maybe specifically England?
How were the accommodations? How was the booking process? |

I booked a week for my sister using points we deposited into RCI one time. It was a well known timeshare resort in the Highlands. Most of the places in the U.K. are essentially out in the country, what I would say are traditional timeshare “lodges”. Great for those who like outdoor activities like hiking or just a week in the country. Just not handy as a base for sightseeing. I still don’t understand their website, it seems incredibly non user-friendly to me. I did find one potential “base” in the Paris suburbs but when I looked at the available resorts anywhere else I wasn’t impressed. I assume this is because we only get a choice of certain places, not the full range that RCI members can book. My MIL had an RCI timeshare and we stayed with her at Orange Lake. She also had plenty of trips to Spain and Portugal. I didn’t see anything remotely resembling those resorts when I searched. When I realised there was nothing we would want to use them for, I offered them to my sister. If you are thinking of using DVC points with them, I would rent them out and use the cash to book elsewhere. |
