Default Kidani or Jambo with 4 year old?

Hello. Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else but I was wondering if people had recommendations for either Jambo or Kidani with a 4 yo boy. Any playground or pool better for that age group?

Thanks,

John

Pool is much better for that age at Kidani - better slide and a great water-play area. Better playground at Jambo however.

The real differences, IMO, are the *much* better parking at Kidani and the extra bathroom in Kidani's 1/2br villas. If you are driving or staying in a 1/2br, it's an easy choice for Kidani. Otherwise, it's more of a tossup.

I'm not driving and we are likely staying in a Savannah Studio this time around.

Thanks.

I like Jambo for the atmosphere and quick service option, but if I'm going for a Savanah view with the kids we always go Kidani. I've had great experiences with the views, and the pool area is awesome for little ones.

I'm in the Kidani camp for any age group.

You will be closer to the animals which is nice. Also, Kidani has the community center which has lot of activities too for the family.

Starting to sound like I'll be leaning towards Kidani. Food is important but for the little man any animal viewings and pool/splash zone will do the trick. Me and my wife have done plenty of trips for us now it's about him.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if Disney Kidani is still doing extensive room renovating?

We stayed in Kidani a few months ago and most of the savanna rooms were undergoing refurbishments, so there were cranes & construction equipment everywhere and very few animals. Our room was the second to the last facing the front of the resort, not the expansive savanna view, and the walk to the room took nearly 15 minutes.

Such a long walk might not be the best with a four-year-old.

I think they are still renovating. We just returned from a trip and were speaking with an AK cast member and she said renovations were happening but we did not stay at AKL this trip to see for ourselves.

Probably ok either way.

Kidani is a bit quieter and the splash area is really good at the pool.

Jambo has the quick service option which may be necessary for smaller children and the lobby itself can be entertainment for young ones.

Kidani community hall will be important during summer vacation for young kids. You can always take shuttle to go from one to another and use the facility.
