Default Trying to List again….have a question

Last time my contract was for 90 days and said I couldn’t list with multiple brokers. Contract didn’t move (later I found out Disney was selling BLT for $190 but broker never discussed that competition with me). So my question is, have those who have listed, did you negotiate with the broker their contract standards? I want the listing shorter so I can go elsewhere if they don’t sell. It’d be even better if I can get my contract listed through multiple brokers. Any input would be appreciated.

I have not listed for a while but I do not recall any terms that locked me in for a certain period of time and I do remember having the ability to list with multiple brokers. The contract had a clause stipulating that I was required to inform the broker if the points had been sold elsewhere or were no longer available.

Things may have changed though. The last time I sold a contract was pre- covid.

Many brokers will allow you to list with other broker. Time to find another broker.

There are plenty of brokers in the sea. The market is softening and very different than it was six months ago so if you want a quick sale, price it accordingly.

DVC is still aggressively buying back BLT so just remember you get paid either way.

I don’t remember ever having an agreement on the amount of time I’d list on my points nor anything saying I couldn’t list with multiple brokers. I did list with multiple brokers and informed one when they other sold mine. They both knew I was listing with 2 brokers and didn’t care. It’s not like they put a lot of work into them compared to say selling a home. Definitely use a different broker this time.
