My kids yo-yo’d in their teens/early 20’s as well. They’ve seen the light and returned to the fold! Is there anything else going on while you are there? A party? After hours event? A tour that you haven’t yet tried? My DD and I were able to attend one of the MM events in the Spring, and she came home telling her dad that we needed to buy another contract! Best of luck for a memorable trip!

Thank you! I’ve booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour for us. He is finally old enough and has been wanting to do it since he was four. It will be my first time too. I don’t usually splurge for “extras”. But I guess at this point I’m willing to bribe him.

I prefer to think of it as “exploring all that Disney has to offer”. But bribery works too! I even got scolded for not booking any signature dinners. Hello! This from the kid who had adamantly refused to dress up on vacation? Go figure...

I miss the days of chasing characters with their autograph books. We haven’t done that for a long time. Every season with my boys has been my favorite, but I know I won’t be able to get any pictures with characters with him this trip.

We stay at WL a lot and rent bikes and head to visit the horses. We used to go fishing there too. They’ve grown up Disney and he’s been a trooper going with me a lot even when he wasn’t excited about it. It’s nice that I’ve got friends that will join me now, but I’d like to make this memorable for him so maybe he will say, “Hey Mom, when are we going to Disney?”
Hmmm... this makes it harder. I might do it. Even though he's 16 and would be an adult, it's the experience in this case. It's like when we did an Illuminations cruise, we didn't need it. We can watch it elsewhere, but the experience... yeah it was so worth it.

Hopefully you'll have your buddy for a while at least. I worry that my son won't want Disney in the future, but for now he loves it. I am not sure this will make his interest huge, but it will at least a memory you'll both have.
