My last Guide before this left when Jim Lewis took over.

As a large point Direct only owner, Iíve had 2 guides in 16 years of membership.

Curious - does the guide contact you when he/she resigns?

I have had the same guide for 18+ years. Very happy with her.

That's funny. As a low point (120) resale owner, I've never heard from a guide in 11 years of membership!

If we have the same guide, I just posted his email here:

http://www.mouseowners.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=134458

I'm kind of creeped out by it, quite frankly, and wonder if he was terminated or told to resign rather than left voluntarily. There's a lot of boundary violations and bad assumptions in the email.

My original guide was one of the original DVC guides. She was fantastic, professional, and maintained the same level of contact he did while not cultivating a clique. When she retired, there was a formal note from her in a DVC email announcing my new guide. This is very different and very unprofessional, IMO.

I have no idea who my sales person is now. Then again, I can not recall the name of the lady who sold me my last truck either.

I can not even tell you who my guide was. We meet them during the DVC tour at Saratoga Springs 2 years ago. We bought our initial points and we have never heard from them again.

If you get emails from DVC, your guide's name will be listed in that email

These two posts make me wonder: where does low point end? Where does large point start?

I think that it is relative.

We might be considered a large point owner, but we never seem to have enough.
It feels like we are barely ekeing out the points for vacations.

Another owner with fewer points might feel like a large point owner because they stay in studios and go once a year. They may be banking every year and feel like a large point owner.

If you want a rule of thumb, I would guess 500 points might be the dividing line.
Some might say 1000.
