just a really long time.
After spending a week in Disney with us for our trip last October, BIL walked right past where DH and DS were sitting on our SW flight home. The lady sitting next to DH offered to give BIL her seat. His reply, "No thanks, I'm good." He'd had enough of us.

I just checked Delta for our October trip and while the fares were comparable to SW for those dates, there were no direct flights. We're not looking to spend an additional 2-1/2 traveling (I mean "sitting").

We'll look again for our next trip.

We only fly Delta and they have no extra charges once you pay for your bags. It is cheaper to pay for them when you check in then at the gate so know how many bags you have before you check in. Delta will overbook on occasion and those without seats (basic economy) are at risk to not board if they can't find someone to give up their seat.
We love Delta at our house. SW isn't a option from our airport so we fly Delta.

It's a small world after all. A colleague just discovered by same thing about Delta and southwest! She chose Delta. Two days later, her bags are still in Atlanta. "Trust in me . . .," Delta said.

Was it a direct flight? That could make a difference.

Thank goodness we are only bringing carry-on bags for this trip.

Often my husband and I each take an aisle seat directly across from one another. I can't tell you how many times one of the middle-seat folks has offered to trade, "so you two can sit together." We smile, "We are sitting together," as we reach out to hold hands across the aisle, briefly. ;-)

Not sure which is “better” between southwest and delta, but I will say delta’s customer service is pretty good when you have problems. Also, delta’s on-time flight percentages are typically the highest in the industry.

I’ve had bumps in the road with American, Delta and United in the past year. American was the only one that treated me like I was on Spirit.

Wow! That one went right over my head. Guess I was still thinking about the first post and trying to let it go!
