OMG, I so agree with this! I have been on the sofa bed the past 2 trips and both were horrible there.

At Poly, I opt for the murphy bed over the sofa bed!

Oviously, preferances vary on what is comfortable for a bed. It's a bit like Goldilocks and the Three Beds. One person likes firm, one likes soft, one likes in the middle....

When it comes to the pull out beds, we've stayed at PVB, GFV, BLT, BRV, SSR, OKW, and AKV (Jamba) We've noticed they are updating the couches to a three piece "platform" type sofa bed. Which IS better but still VERY FIRM. The worst was SSR which had us at an angle, so uncomfortable we switched hotels. (Turns out later, the bed was broken and we got a paltry few pts refunded.... like 50 maybe.) Bottom line, we find them all horrible. Some worse than others.

Hint: Call Mousekeeping for an egg crate. If only one is sleeping on it, double it up and put that down to sleep on. It is much more comfortable that way. -- At least for us. They might not always have them, but its worth trying.

I slept on one at Boulder Ridge and it was awful. I ended up switching to the twin Murphy bed under the tv and found it way more comfortable. I also slept on the Murphy bed at Contemporary regular room. Just have to watch your head!

I found it funny that a 35 year old was sleeping in a tiny bed with Chip and Dale, but hey, whatever. This year it's my turn for the real bed!

The reported picture from a test at SSR is a combo fold down sofa/murphy bed. The mattress is thicker and on a solid surface which I'd think has to be better than the pull out sofa bed but something that gives the option of a sitting area or a bed.

Personally, I want a king bed in the studios.
I want a king bed in the studios too!

While most people recommend kids to sleep on the Murphy bed, I have seen a lot of people mention that they are bigger than they look? Would someone who is 5'6 fit comfortably lengthwise?

Our DD25 is 5'5" (towers over me ) and our DS19 is 5'9" and they have both slept in the Poly Murphy bed very comfortably. They've also slept on the pullout sofa and have had no complaints about its comfort.
