Default Best Views at Grand Californian??

We are considering renting points to stay at the Grand Californian the summer of 2023. We love to hear everyone's opinion of what view to request while staying in a studio??

You'll definitely want a high floor, at least 3rd floor or higher for a good view. There are no view categories but assuming you are at least on the 3rd floor or higher your view will either be the pool, Pixar Pier or overlooking the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

If you get a lower floor, you'll either get pool or a view of the fence to California Adventure.

Your best bet for your preferred view is to check in as early as possible.

If you need VGC points, please send me a PM.

Since the VGC only has 23 studios, 23 1-bdrms, 23 dedicated 2-bdrms & 2 grand villas -- room views are a complete crapshoot.

If you want to take your chances you can try and request a high floor w/a Pixar Pier view and you might get lucky. But, ideally for a good view you need to be on the 5th or 6th floor. The trees have grown so much that below the 5th floor you really can't see much. Now they have an entrance to the park on the Pixar Pier side of the resort too causing a lot more foot traffic on that side of the DVC wing.

If you want a "safe view" I usually recommend that you request a pool view, that will work for [I think] all the floor on that side of the DVC wing.

I suppose if you are able to be at the resort early you might be able to see where you were placed and could ask to be moved, but the resort is so small, it's hard to get a good view of the parks IMO.
