I don't know what to expect for thanksgiving week, or after the parks start to ramp up attendance, but for the 4 days we were there last week at Wilderness Lodge, the bus was empty 80% of the time. Never had much of a wait. Never had to be vaguely near anyone. It was a surreal experience.

At one point, we had a reservation for cali grill, and while chatting with the driver, since the bus was completely empty he just took us over. (no boat or bus route from WL to Contemporary). We thought we would have to boat or bus from MK to Cali Grill, driver took us instead.

We are going to be incredibly spoiled in the future as we are big bus riders. I refuse to drive when at WDW.

I was there for a week arriving on Halloween. The busses were virtually empty My entire trip. DS bus was the only one that was even half full.

On bus now from AKL to AK. There are 10 zones. I think some were just 2 seat zones. Not sure .

Just got back on Friday from Kidani. We took buses to MK, AK, Epcot and DS. Bus seats are grouped into different sized groups with a barricade between each group. So the right side when we boarded the bus had either a three or two seat group, followed by another three or to seat group and maybe another two or three seat group (these are normally two wheelchair spots and a few other seats). On the left side it was similar. The larger groups were sent to the back of the bus. There was only one time when there were no empty seats after we boarded. That was at AK back to Kidani and the bus had been there for a while when we got to the bus stop.

There were times when we were told to sit in a two seat section and other times a three seat section. We went to Jambo after leaving Kidani and picked up from there, but with only the 5th floor open, no many boarded or disembarked there. For DS Jambo was first and Kidani was second. I don't remember seeing anyone left behind except maybe the evening we returned from DS about 6:30 and there was a rather large crowd waiting to board the bus to DS since none of the parks were still open or would be closing soon.

That is awesome to have a private driver bus. Same thing happened to my friend pre-covid for a morning BOMA breakfast.

I am with you for getting around WDW.
Since becoming a DVC member we have slowed from the commando realm to going with the flow.
We are on vacation and if I am having an adult beverage...
HEY! Disney's Drivin'!
