Yak & Yeti is Landry's - so your snobbery has been alleviated

We have been turned away at walk up. Was told by the hostess that I must have an online ressie, no walk ups accepted at GFC. So, opened the app, booked ressie and checked back in.

We have started to not book an ADRs every night and just search the app for what is available. Can make things fun as you don't know where the night can take you. Minnie Van service helps make this possible also if you don't mind the extra cost to snag last minute reservations.

This kind of thing makes me think there was some unannounced change of policy, as apparently multiple TS places started doing this all at once. When it first started I was too ticked off to bother making a ressie -- just went somewhere else or did CS. Kona had taken me as a walkup a dozen times, but now (last year) they told me they "were completely booked up" for the evening, which was patently not true as it was opening time for dinner and the place was nearly empty!

This is what we do now. Open the app and see what's available "now" or soon. It's actually quite nice because we've eaten at some places we may not have before that we enjoyed, like Boatwright's. Plus, there's no planning around ADRs required.

I don't. This is the Happy Hour at Mccormick and Schmick's or Morton's. I have done Rainforest with family, and I agree with your assessment. M&S and Morton's are 2-3 steps above.

Cheers.

Are they also Landry? Didn't know that. Hmm.
