Default GF Lounge to be "Enchanted Rose"

Info on the updated lounge at GF has been put out on the Disney Blog. Opening this Fall!

I like when they try different things on menus but I'm doubtful a couple of these items will make it very long. We'll have to see!

"More Details on Enchanted Rose – A New Lounge Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Alex Dunlap
by Alex Dunlap, Food & Beverage Communications Coordinator

We recently announced a new “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired lounge coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Today, I have even more exciting news to share – including an official name as well as menu details.

Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Located on the second floor of the lobby, this re-imagined lounge will be called Enchanted Rose and will celebrate the magic and romance of Disney’s popular live-action movie. Featuring four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast, you’ll find charm and elegance around every corner. The lounge includes a chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing ball gown as well as a formal library that will showcase classical baroque designs and French furnishing. A garden room will take its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and an outdoor patio will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace.

Enchanted Rose will feature a delicious menu with a variety of shareable bites. Snack on an artisanal cheese selection with pine nut bread and raisins or enjoy an exquisite dish of white sturgeon caviar served with egg timbale, crème fraiche, and chives.

Mini Smoked Short Rib Sliders from Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
In addition, you could try the Mini Smoked Short Rib Sliders with glacier blue cheese and onion marmalade on brioche buns. Or if seafood is more your style, you can order the Espelette Pepper-Spiced Shrimp or Octopus a la Plancha with black olives, blistered tomatoes, and fingerling potatoes. There’s also the Crab and Gnocchetti Gratin, which comes with jumbo lump crab, gnocchetti sardi, robiola bosina mornay, and citrus breadcrumbs.

Other options include truffle fries as well as a house-made flatbread pizza featuring charred broccolini, seasonal mushrooms, fennel sausage, ricotta salata, and tomato confits.

Specialty Alcoholic Beverages from Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
On the beverage menu is a variety of beverages including cocktails and martinis as well as spirits, beer, cider and even a few non-alcoholic options for guests of all ages. Featured cocktails include beverages such as the Island Rose with grapefruit and rose vodka, lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water. You can also sip on the Lavender Fog (dry gin, crème de violette, English breakfast tea, vanilla, and cream) or the Garden Daisy (tequila, midori, lime, egg white, and cucumber). The lounge will also be pouring an extensive collection of wine and Champagne by the glass.

Specialty Non-Alcoholic Beverages from Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Non-alcoholic options include a Garden Cocktail (non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, agave nectar, and soda) as well as the B&B (fresh-brewed iced tea, lemon, blueberry, and basil) and the Rosemary Cooler (Odwalla lemonade, vanilla, and rosemary).

Enchanted Rose will open this fall at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. For more information, check out our recent blog post or visit the Walt Disney World Resort website. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more updates!"

Menu does seem tasty, and as a lounge less chance it gets dumbed down. Of course, we shall see...

Still will miss Mizner’s and think this better belongs at the Riviera, but definitely looking forward to visiting regardless.

Can't wait! My wife's favorite movie and our home resort. The outdoor patio sounds nice!

Agreed Brian!

Grand Floridian & French Fairy Tale? It's a great mystery.

Almost sounds like a hang out bar for all to feel invited. Truly could be a unique concept putting emphasis on opposite of what we know to be an alcoholic establishment. At first I wondered what this was creating and now I expect a true creation. With the former Mizners the atmosphere was very masculine . How to describe a non generic futureistic option with class and style?
I look forward to entering and feeling invited!

A bar themed after Beauty and the Beast?
Just rubs me the wrong way.

Sans the Octopus, it sounds pretty good. My problem with the specialty drinks is that they don’t put enough alcohol in them. Definitely will try it!!

Maybe the Enchanted Rose references their outstanding Wine Selection?

Agree, doesn't seem like the theme fits the GF, and they're basing it on the live action movie instead of the classic animated one?

Doesn't fit. Liked Mizner's just fine the way it was EXCEPT they needed more staff for quicker service (as is my complaint of most lounges at WDW). But French Provincial bar in Palm Beach Victorian hotel???? Okay

And why make a bar...a bar...more inviting for kids????? As I mentioned with the AP ruination...Disney seems to want to cut out us adult set having sans kiddo vacations at the World. I mean...dumb, if you ask me...cause we will spend $$$$ on drinking, eating and shopping now that we have no need to ride IASW and stand in lines for character greets. And we have more $$ to throw away being empty nesters. But, whatever! We already feel edged out so we have cut back our trip plans...not even booked at WDW for 2020. Have fun squeezing the $$ out of the little kid family set, Mr Mouse!

I don't go over to VGF anyway so really isn't a big deal. AP, we went to and we own CCV so that change hurt.
