Just another option to consider when you are being tied down by restrictions, all options come into play.
Especially if it's just an occasional stay or want to try it out.

I really considered not buying CCV but waiting for DRR.

Those incentives are better than we had for CCV and would bring the total price to less than we paid for CCV, but I can still buy more nights with my 160 CCV points (and sell them with the option of 14 resorts to choose from for stays) than I could with DRR points.

I think we're going to like the resort, but we're going to have to rely on 7 month windows for occasional stays. I can definitely say we are EXTREMELY happy with our CCV points, so that was indeed the right choice!
