Default World Cup

Well it just so happens I will be at WDW for the World Cup final on Sunday 7/15. So....where do I got to watch? Game coverage is around 10am. We will be checking it at Coronado Springs that day and I see they have Rix Sports Bar and Grill. Any good? ESPN Club? Is there any place at the Springs?

It's a pretty safe bet there will be multiple places in DS where you can watch the World Cup final. After all, football (that's right, "football"!) is the #1 sport in much of the world, especially Europe and South/Central America. Just about anyplace with TV's at the bar has a good chance of showing it. Best bets might be those with an ethnic connection, such as Raglan Road or Paradiso. I once watched Olympics at House of Blues, so that's probably an option too.

But anyplace that says "sports bar" should have their license revoked if they don't show it!

touringplans.com has a complete article for ALL the places to watch includes an updated picture of the renovations for RIX Bar at Coronado Springs...looks really nice. I always loved to watch sports at any poolside bar... the Grand Floridian had overhead ceiling fans, etc. POP Century at night was fun also. It mentions the obvious ESPN but that is obviously the most crowded and slowest service.
Not sure about Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian Resort.. seem to recall under renovation?
Trader Sams would be expensive choice (not big fan)

If one is watching 95 minutes of a football match, slow service is likely the least of the worries

Cheers.

Are you implying long lines at the restroom?

No to much as, even with slow service, one can drink a lot, i.e. too much, in 95 minutes at that hour of the morning

Cheers.

Well, certainly 1999 on the women's side.

Cheers.

We were at Disney Springs the day the AFC and NFC championship games were on this year. We went to Splitsville for the late game, sat outside at a table by the patio bar and watched. It was relaxing, good service and food, and fun! I recommend Splitsville if you have the opportunity!
