I am wondering how loud the flapping of the flag and the metal to metal sounds would be coming off of that, and would you be able to hear it in the cabins that are right there....

I know they only fly the flag in port. So for two CC days, it won't bother me. The Nassau day it might.

Is it me or are the TAs getting sparser and sparser. We're booked on the May EBTA and I'd toyed with cancelling and just flying to Barcelona but I've been overruled. The WBTA doesn't hold any appeal to me at all. (But I've been to all the ports and the Canadian Cruise we did was my least favorite of all my DCL trips).

We did a MerryTime Christmas cruise last year (I think) and we've done a few Halloween cruises. We enjoy them all. Nancy and Becky said no more Christmas cruises though (until we do a Christmas Market river cruise) because when Christmas came they said that they felt way behind.

I think we're close - certainly on the same level - as the flag so I can tell you next week how annoying it is. We have been above and below the flag and it never bothered us. I did read a review of the cabin with the flag and they said it was really loud. You should go read you cabin review.

I read everything I could find. I had a choice between the room next to the flag and rooms under Cabanas. I chose deck six as the lesser of two evils. Yes I would appreciate your thoughts. Would you mind sharing your cabin number? I have 6190, the one to the left of the flag.

I thought being gold I would be able to get a better cabin. They went so fast. I guess because of the double dip? There is almost nothing left already. I'm guessing a cabana on Serenity Bay is a long-shot.

Dream 6188

Review on 6188 from November 2016:
Notes: We loved this room. The extended verandah was so nice and we could see so much. It only sleeps three, and the three of us had plenty of room. There was some vibration, especially on the first night, but it wasn't enough to bother us. Great view of the CMs tying up to dock and releasing us at Castaway Cay. Aft elevators and stairs were convenient and rarely crowded. It's a bit of a hike to everywhere, but we were grateful for the extra exercise.

Ok- so you'll be two to the left. It probably won't bother you unless it's very loud. We had the room directly above the flag on 7 and it didn't bother us at all.

Review Dream 6190: Notes: Awesome stateroom! Back of the ship. The balcony was a little bigger than our previous balcony in room 6682. We loved this room so much and when we book a cruise now, we specifically ask for this room or a room with a balcony on the back of the boat. We're about to sail on the Fantasy and we're in stateroom 6690. Absolutely awesome room!!

6190 has many more reviews - some for the Dream and some for Fantasy.

Good - I was hoping we'd be further away.

The last Aft cabins to go are deck 10 (under Cabanas) and the flag cabin. So the conventional DCL wisdom must be that those are the least desirable aft cabins.
