Same for us. I wonder if it will be better than just having one ride since GE would be swamped for the Falcon regardless. Or does this just raise it to a new level of nuts. DS is quite the Star Wars nut, but if he only gets to ride Star Tours bc we can't get a fast pass for the others this trip, I don't think he'll know what he's missing yet.

I bet the studios continue to open at 6 am in Dec.

It will be. But OTOH you get to be there for something special. There is only one opening day. There will be plenty of future trips for lower crowds. At this point I'm thinking we'll do HS one day before it opens for the lowest (relatively) crowds since everyone will wait till 12/5. We can enjoy the land that day. Then be ready for the madness, and try to get on the ride once on the crazy day.

I was really surprised that RotR will open at WDW before DL. Supposedly the delay has been due to wireless communication issues with the ride vehicles since they are trackless. I guess it would make sense that when they came up with a solution/improvement they were able to implement it in WDW since the ride construction would be behind DL? Who knows.

Can't wait to check out the land, regardless.

Might have a shot at getting to ride it. We arrive 12/5. Hope they do FP+. I'm not interested in waiting hours, even if it's a new awesome experience!

Sounds like a ride with Hobbits on it if you ask me

Yes! We'll be there in January, just have to wait and see how they handle it. Will there be FPs?

In expect we may have to wait for fast passes for both Star war rides . I like the idea of 6 am early entry for the studios when the rides first start .
