Hmm. May have to switch back to Roku, if Fire TV doesn't end up on the list by the time the service launches.

I'm surprised it's not on FireTV. I know Apple and Amazon have a love/hate relationship, but I would think Disney wants to be on all the major platforms.

I have Apple TV, though, so I'm covered.

Depends on which model Apple TV. I believe it will require a 4th gen or newer which are the ones that you can download apps from the app store.

Default This part!

In addition, Disney+ will offer four simultaneous streams at once on its service for its basic $7-per-month fee.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to go buy something to stream to the TV (instead of the computer)....I had planned to get a blu-ray player that could stream, but this makes it sound like that won't work?

Against what I was planning on doing, I ordered this through D23. I wish they would add Amazon because I am not buying something just to watch this. We have an xbox and I can do it on a tablet, but kind of odd they are leaving out one of the big ones.

We just bought a Roku after being Firestick users for several years. The Rokus have come down in price, it used to be they were much more expensive than the Firesticks (4k capable Roku streaming stick is now available for $49).

We switched for 2 reasons...we're trying out a new live TV streaming service from our internet provider that's much cheaper than Hulu Live TV (and much better interface), and that app wasn't available for Firestick. Also, we knew we'd need to do something different since Disney+ wasn't going to be on the Firestick.

I have to say, after using it this weekend, we actually prefer the Roku over the Firestick. YMMV.
