My BIL will be staying next month at POR and he's already mentioned the increased pricing from his last stay at a moderate - he said it's close to $900 - but he can't quite spring for resale and that was before the newest increases. So no plans to sell and who knows once we retire and drive to FL I might actually do laundry

That was one of my drivers for buying in. I used to stay in value rooms and couldn't believe how expensive it was getting! Also, I got a taste of DVC rooms through my cousins and it was hard to go back to value resorts :-)

Hard to go back to hotel after staying condo!

We deplore hotel room stays now......unless its a suite!

We always stay in 2 bedroom villas now. Marriott Vacation Club has great properties when we donít stay Disney.

50 pt and 100 pt contracts are much more attractive for resale, and it gives you more options if you just want to sell some, but not all of your points.

Amen. Plus I would never want to stay offsite at WDW. I want to stay within the bubble.
