And from the news reports I am seeing, the cable was deliberately cut as what is currently believed to be vandalism.

Assuming the door is closed, they will float for a limited time. They are probably not completely watertight, but no way to guess the rate of seepage.

Remember that the gondolas have "passive" air conditioning using airflow through the gondola. Based on this, I doubt that they are watertight or even close.

Well, if the controlling meme of protest is that people are going to pee or ejaculate into the bulk soap dispensers at WDW (and apparently nowhere else in the world), I guess we should also expect them to cut the gondola cables.

Down the gondolas! (Literally). Back to the buses!

Why was the gator walking to your room? Were you feeding it?

Feeding, no. Gator was just sunning on the side of path next to the water. DW asked if it was real. I said yes just keep walking.

What worries me (for the people that will take the skyliner, myself NOT included) is the copy cat crazies that are out there. I really hope that Disney installed a great surveillance system that monitors not only inside cars but the towers as well.

I am wondering if they put emergency phones in each car....my guess would be yes...or at least I am hopeful.

Just like the ME video, they probably are expecting people with cells handle emergency phone calls.

The gondolas rarely fall on their own . But the thought of sabotage is scary .
