Question #2 - are there any decent waterproof cameras for under $100 ? This would really be used exclusively for at the water parks, so don't need it to be waterproof/resistant more than a few feet underwater. Or is anything that inexpensive just going to be junk ?

Chris
My DD got a Fuji XP that we love to take for the waterparks, pool, and water ride photos/videos. We really like the photos we were able to get with it. It doesn't do quite as well in deeper ocean/lake shots because of the lower light conditions. But you can lighten that up in the photo editing phase. Pretty sure we paid $119 for it, best $100 we have spent on a camera.

Cost is also a factor.
My kids play sports, so I do need to be able to capture this.
Suggestions on a modest budget?

I think I have you beat in the Dinosaur category with my beloved Nikkormat. Haven't used it in forever - but it's still in it's bag in my closet.

Ha ha, this is the camera I still currently use, but yours is probably older.

You may like the Sony a7000 (it's fast) but I was unhappy with it and returned it. I went back to a DSLR Nikon. I have been using a Nikon DSLR for 15 years.
DA is getting a 7200 for Christmas. WOOT !
