One is known for data breaches galore. The other is too backwards to seem to pose the threat of data breaches.

Went to Target today and successfully bought my Disney GCs with the Target ones. Did $300 at a time at self checkout. My Target only had $50s no $100s.

It's really just a regular size-maybe even a bit on the small side. It's just that with no land in SoCal, they build up instead of out.

So after purchasing my $1k in GCs at Target last week, I got home a few hours later and am unpacking my bags only to realize the $1k in Disney GCs is completely missing. In total panic mode, I call the store and finally get someone and no one has turned in the cards. Luckily I have the receipt so I ask if they can deactivate them and that's a no go. They give me the number on the back of a Disney GC and tell me to call them. So I do that and guess what?! Disney GC Services is not open on the weekend! So I call back the store to no avail and then call Target Corporate. After getting transferred and hung up on twice and then finally waiting 50 minutes, I talk to Target GC Services, but they can't do anything either. I'm totally freaking out at this point because I know that someone can consolidate those cards on DGC's site and wipe them clean immediately. I can put in a ticket on the DGC website, but have to wait until 7am PT on Monday to call. I call the next morning and am told that I have to email all the information and receipt to an email address and should hear back within 24 hours, but apparently they get 100s of requests a day! DGC has to contact a company called Blackhawk with my activation codes to get information. After 24 nailbiting hours pass and then another and another, I nearly fall off my chair when I get an email that they will be shipping me out a replacement card that week. Well, today I received the card in the full amount! Hopefully none of you face this issue and can learn from my mistake(s), but know that DGCServices is great!

It was totally stressful! I hope Disney was able to recover the funds from the original cards, but I'll never know.

I believe this was previously mentioned but Discover reminded me of it today.

Q1 2018 offers 5% back at wholesale clubs for up to $1500 in purchases. As a general reminder, BJ's sells Disney GC's at 4% off face value with no known limit on purchasing the $100 cards ($500's are limit 1 online). In the past this cashback also applied to GC purchases since BJ's fulfills them directly (versus some companies which outsource gift card sales).

Good news: No membership required.
Bad news: $5 shipping fee.

A simple (no leaving chair required) but good deal for those looking to cover some/all of your annual dues while saving an easy 9%.

I think non members pay $5 shipping. I was checking out cards yesterday and when I put them in my cart (while not signed in) it wanted to charge me $5 shipping. I didn't actually place the order but it definitely was going to charge me.

It says on the page Free Shipping. I added 5 to my cart and chose Checkout as Guest and it still showed $0 shipping. Unless this is a recent change, I was never charged shipping by BJ's and it isn't showing now. So maybe no cons!
