Well, Saturday 12/29 was INTENSELY painful for about 3 hours - right up until we got to the ER when the pain evaporated.

I really felt like I had a knife stuck in and it was being rotated around just for kicks. since it was radically worse than any previous thing, I'm thinking that's when it made its journey. Makes sense, too, because I had been dehydrated due to nausea and vomiting and was just getting over it, so Kidneys were flowing again. And I needed the restroom about every 20 minutes while at the ER, so things were emptying out! Except the stone.

On the positive side - no caffeine/soda since 12/29, greatly reduced sodium, and reduced sugar intake, reduced carbs and animal protein - so looking forward to my bloodwork for my annual physical in 2 1/2 weeks!

At 5:47 PM ET today, a 6mm Kidney Stone was born into the world.

It only took 15 days from onset of symptoms.

All are happy.

Congratulations! Is it a boy or a girl? And what did you name it?

Thanks! So, no more vacation plans in jeopardy.

Next step is analysis to see what kind of stone it is to advise on recommended dietary changes.

I still have a 3mm in the left Kidney, but after 6mm, that one will be a piece of cake! I think I'll avoid AquaDunk on the Magic, and wait until May's WDW trip to let the rollercoasters knock that one out, though.

As for wine...it was on my list of things to avoid. Which was ok for me because I donít drink it.
Much the same experience with the passing of the stone. It was long like a tablet with a little barb on the end, which is why it must have hurt so much after it left the kidney. Once it got into a comfortable position in the bladder, it just stayed there until I ran all over central NJ getting tests done for lithotripsy and then it decides to pop out on its own.
