Default Convalescent plasma donation

I had covid in June/July and received
Convalescent plasma as part of my treatment.
I now am now going to donate plasma, but have not donated blood in many many years.
Truthfully, I am a little apprehensive about
doing this.
Have any other MOs donated? Is it any more painful than a regular blood donation?
I have been told the blood is drawn, then the plasma removed and then the blood returned. I've had so much blood drawn and medications injected, I know I shouldn't be as concerned as I am.
I just wish I knew someone who could tell me "there's nothing to it".

Our DD has just started the process of donating her plasma. Last week was her first appointment. The procedure is not a big deal. The downside is that the process takes some time.

Definitely thank you for taking the time. We'v had parishioners who have done the same thing and said it wasn't a problem, just time consuming.

That sounds similar to the "double reds" process. My DH donates blood regularly and does this process. For him it is not a big deal- just more time. If I have a vial taken for a test I get woozy.

Sounds a lot like donating platelets. I used to donate about once a month. Easy peasy. Nothing to worry about.

And thank you for donating!

Thanks to everyone. Sounds like I am worrying for no reason.
Should get a call in the next few days for my first appointment.

Did someone contact you regarding donating? Or did you initiate it? I found out I had antibodies last month (ER nurse who had an extremely mild case) and am O neg, so I'd consider donating.
