Could is the question, would not is most likely the answer.

From this current debacle you can see they don't care about one's points.

Why do you say that?

Cheers.

I would say that is not entirely true.

Legally, Disney only has to follow the terms spelled out in the Resort's POS. Yet, Disney has been going against those rules already by waving banking, borrowing and holding rules by those impacted.

Not only that - they have to look at the impact of these points on next year, as has been brought up. If they allowed all these points to be moved into next year, it would severely impact booking next year.

We have trips booked for September and October of this year. it will use up our points. I expect to take those trips. If they let everyone else (who have the opportunity to book later in the year) move a whole bunch of points to next year, it would likely negatively impact me next year. I could then say that they don't value my points by doing this.

It's a balance thing.

Cheers.

Agree about the balance thing.

So many people will be banking with no borrowing, that next year will most likely be flooded with extra points. That doesn't include any points Disney may gift back or move around. I fear many people will not be able to use their points next year.

We planned on going to Aulani next year with 2 years worth of points, but I may book a vacation 11 months out at WDW at my home resort just in case the whole year is a mad dash to get something.

Hey Admins, could you create a "Disney is just another evil corporation" thread and just auto-move comments like these over there?

Thanks

Well Simba's Mom - I'll only be 84 in 2042.
I might be looking for a DVC-Cougar then, say ~ 90 - 92 years old!?
You know I'm kidding, but couldn't resist having some fun during week 2 of the quarantine.
