Only surprise to me is that it took this long to cancel.

Cheers.

The resort is not closing (yet), but select offerings are being temporarily discontinued.

Inasmuch as the governor of Hawaii has asked that visitors not come for now, that would make sense.

Cheers.

Yeah, DH got his cancellation info yesterday...very bummed. He just started running last Oct, and this was a great motivation, was going to be his first half, plus looking forward to a quick getaway. Hope he'll get to sign up for another one soon, Wine/Dine has been sold out, so probably next year

I have been following along in your posts. I kept thinking of him when waiting for the news myself about the race.

Please encourage him to keep running. It is the most rewarding gift. Tell him that if he runs 13.1 the morning of the now canceled race---I will personally mail him my Star Wars HM medal from last year. If he is interested, please PM me your address and a photo of his Garmin.

We were registered for the challenge (10.k/13.1) again this year. We are still doing the distances that weekend. Virus or no virus, every mile is magic.

Awwww, that is SO very sweet. Thank you for the encouragement. he's hoping to get in a run today, and wants to keep it up. Really hoping they'll add another race, or that we can plan for next year.

I am glad that they are giving refunds, but I was hoping that we would get our medals. My DD and I just did our own 5k since the Star Wars run is off.
