Default February vacation week

How hard is it to get a room at your home resort during February vacation week. I'm planning for next year and wondering if I have to be online at the stroke of 8am Eastern time to make sure I get my reservation...

Unless you are trying to book one of the "hard to get" rooms in the DVC system, then no.

Which ones are the hard to book rooms? The cheapest, can I assume? Maybe studio/1BR with standard view?

and thanks for the reply!

Maybe over presidents day weekend, but otherwise you should be ok? What week and resort are we talking about?

But yes, more or less, the cheapest point rooms at each resort are often the most desirable. Other than AKV concierge

We go almost every year during Presidents Day week. Itís very easy to get rooms at 11 months (although Iíve never tried AKV Value), and Iíve even often switched at 7 months, although I think Iíve occasionally had to waitlist some days at the end of the week. The end of the week (Princess Half Marathon) has generally proven to be more difficult to switch than the beginning of the week (Presidents Day).

Mardi Gras in 2021 will be Feb 16, so the weekend before and the days after might be a bit harder to book. Feb 15 is President's Day next year, so that falls in the same time.
