Yesterday I finished my last rental for my August 2020 UY.

I ended up renting to 25 individual parties for a total of 29 rentals (some were split stays) & I did one transfer. I finished with an avg rental price of $19.81pp. I did one rental for 540 points at $18pp and that pulled down my avg, but overall I'm happy with how it all worked out.

I know that everyone says that crossing the 20 rental mark in a year is a "red flag" of some type for Disney, so we'll see what happens. I don't really understand how Disney can put some type of limit on rentals anyway because per the POS owners have the right to rent their points. I'm assuming with Covid renting for everyone is way up across the board, so I'm not sweating it.

Here's hoping that 2021 is a better year for everyone and Covid numbers continue to fall as vaccines roll out an more people are immunized. The return to some type of normalcy will be warmly welcomed by everyone.

No, every one of these rentals was a new person that I've never worked with before.

I have run into a few renters that think Covid means firesale.
I have no problem with holding the points for another year or using them myself.
I understand that some owners are in a hard place and need to dump there points.
But if your points are not distressed I feel like anyone Discounting points is hurting us all.

The rental companies have given themselves a horrible name but not standing behind there rentals and basically just telling people tough. However, they keep charging a premium for the point while we owners are slashing prices.... this just doesnt make sense to me if your points are not distressed...

Just my two cents

I don't think it has as much to do w distressed or not as it is supply and demand. Right now the supply is abundant, the demand is low, and the alternative is 40% off.

I'm hoping that once the glut of excess points is worked through that we will return to a "normal" rental environment
