We have done Thanksgiving week twice and really enjoy that time of year. Our Girls when younger would have the whole week off of school. I just canceled a large May 2021 trip and was lucky enough that they put back 150 Points to Dec 2021. I have 150 points to use by end of Nov 2021 and if a vaccine is available and numbers are low we will go.

The crowds are nice the beginning of the week and defiantly pick up around Wednesday. I like to add a couple days on after Thanksgiving to enjoy the Christmas extras at Epcot.

You might need to walk a reservation if you are after a particular room type and location. We will be booking a 1BD at BWV so it should not be a problem. The studio and 2BD units fill up first.

If you have your heart set on a certain dinning location for Thanksgiving book early.

Default Thanksgiving

I had been to Disney World many times. My new husband had never been there.

I prepared my husband about temperature, humidity, long lines etc
When we went after 9/11. The parking lot was mostly empty. Actually, it was like Wally World - the parks were empty and no lines. My husband commented that it was not so bad.

If you need to make reservations do so when you can. You can cancel before 30 days with no penalty. I have scheduled Animal Kingdom for April 2121 but I do not think we will be going, because I fear that covid 19 will be raging. But I hope by November, 2121 you will be safe.

We have went several times over Thanksgiving and are actually going this November on a 10 day stay. I don't know if they will still have restrictions in place, but, we have been planning this trip for about 25 years. Yes we like to plan ahead, LOL. We went on our honeymoon during the Magic Kingdoms 25th anniversary. So this year will be our 25th and MKs 50th. Whatever the circumstances this year, we will be home for Thanksgiving.

Wishing you a very early Happy 25th Anniversary!

I feel there will be some restrictions still in place. But not as many as there are now. Even with the vaccine roll-out, the virus will still be lurking.

Thank You for the Anniversary wishes.

I am just hoping that they have some of the things back like MVMCP

The Epcot Show will be running by then and I am hopeful that the MK fireworks will also be running by the 50th.

I think that paid events will return once park capacity is raised to around 70% and most of the resorts are back open. I know WDW certainly wants the paid events. The next 3 months are critical for that to happen. I also think that MVMCP has a better chance then MNSHP to happen. We will see how this all unfolds.

We are going this year for the first time during Thanksgiving. We generally go over Christmas/NYE. Looking forward to it.

we have been down the previous 4 TG and will do so this year too.

We will arrive day after TG this year as we opted to do our TG Dinner with my grandbabies (oh, and my son and his wife) in Jacksonville this year.

DW and I will drive (rental) to VGF for 2 nights alone on Friday and Saturday (Please open back up V&A!!!!!!!!!!) and then my Son and daughterinlaw, the grandbabies, and DD14 will join us for my grand daughters first ever trip to WDW!

We had a blast seeing everyone during TG week this past year - we're definitely going to do TG again - not this year but 2022 or 23 for sure.

For those who have gone during Thanksgiving and flew, when was the best time to purchase airline tickets for the best price? I am seeing November ticket prices triple of what they are now
