Thanks Tom! I am trying to have free vacations by renting our 250 and using 250. However, time will tell if I have enough self control to actually do that. This is a start. Baby steps...baby steps

I don't understand why people try to rent their own points and not use Davids. It is so efficient and worry free

Because you usually make more renting them yourself. Depending on the number of points, it can be quite a difference. However, thereís more work if you rent them yourself as you answer all questions from the renter and have to find a renter. Depends on what itís worth to you as the owner. To each his/her own!

Let me join the chorus. I've rented out my points a handful of times using David's. Quick pay & no issues every time.

I just wanted to add that I rented points from Davidís for my parents as a present recently, and it was very easy. I havenít listed my points with them, but I wouldnít hesitate if I was in a hurry to rent out my points. I may be renting Aulani from them again soon.

I have never rented my points and had a goal of doing so, but have trouble parting with any. Recently I added on and got to my goal of 500 points. The deal was to rent 250 and use 250 a year.

So I reluctantly bit the bullet and listed 150 VWL. I listed them on Wednesday. They were rented by Monday. The process was amazingly simple and money was in my account the same day. Just letting people know how wonderful and simple the service is! I will definitely be using David's again
There is really no problem in renting through David because the process is simple and it is their full time business .
it is a gap in the market that David's organisation has exploited establishing confidence between sellers and buyer.
When annual dues rise each year it becomes more important to obtain max dollar amount to pay our dues .
The process of renting on this board is simple and as long as you provide a good service and are courteous with your customers you can rent your own points with confidence.
This board provides a very detailed explanation for the person renting the points and for the person requesting the points.
You can establish confidence in people requesting points as easily as any broker of points and you don't have to give away those valuable dollars to an middle man.
I do enjoy learning from my own personal experiences of renting situations to do better next time.it is a nice challenge .
There are very many helpful owners on this board who are only too happy to help out newbies
rant over Patrick
