Hopefully they will make the Visitor Toll Pass permanent, or at least extend it (again).

That's what we do. Sounds like better to get off at #6 instead of #3 if using EZ Pass.

Get your own Sunpass, use that and don't get it from the car rental company. We have one for travel around Disney and elsewhere in Florida.

Consider it a lesson learned.

Cheers.
I bought a portable transpoder and I used it a lot. Really easy to use just make sure you don't leave in your rental car. I moved to Tampa last year so I use now the windshield sticker for may cars.

There's only one possible "why not" that I can think of. If you register the car and forget to set an end date (I'm really sure I did, but they say I didn't ) then you may well get some extra tolls. I got a statement and saw tolls after our rental ended. A whopping $7.20!

I sent them the rental agreement and, something like 2.5 months later, did get it reversed. Still I will do it that way for MCO and MIA trips.

Cheers.

I will say that it is something I always do - put the end date in when I first rent to begin with. That helps, but good call on sending the rental agreement.

I traveled during a time when they were upgrading the Sunpass system. I definitely wanted both then!

So do I...at least I was very sure I had, and still think so to this day

Cheers.

I bought a Sun Pass transponder right after buying into DVC. Whether we drive to Florida or fly in I take it with me. It has worked great. The hard part is remembering to pull it off the windshield when you turn the car in. I try to pull it as soon as I turn off 417 into the airport.

1. Super easy to use.
2. No transponder or tag costs (100% free to use, just pay tolls).
3. Save 23% on tolls vs. cash price.

Visit https://visitortollpass.com/ for more info.
Totally agree. Just got this in November. It worked GREAT!
